I will never do business with them again! And I have an appointment to talk to a lawyer about their additional charges.
This company is not the least bit dignified or respectable, and like a bad relationship, made us uncomfortable from their volatile nature and constant threats. Every notice we got, and they were numerous (they constantly needed to change the filters in the furnace and other things), included a strongly-worded threat for if we didn't comply. Instead of thinking the best of us, they assumed the worst. They also threw in unexpected fees and charges whenever they felt inspired to do so; for example, an $18 charge was added to our bill one month for their labor to move in their washer and dryer into our apartment. I followed their instructions to a T and still never got any respect from them. To make matters worse, they had a twice-a-year "inspection" that included taking photos of every room! I've never had such an invasion of privacy from ANY landlord before. I tried to pass off their continuous disrespect, and gave them chance after chance to prove themselves, but the final blow came when we moved out. I had the apartment fully repaired and took precious time out of my schedule to clean our apartment; total time cleaning was 5 HOURS. For that I got no thanks; only a "cleaning fee", because apparently my own scrubbing, vacuuming and deep-cleaning wasn't good enough. I only received 20% of my deposit back, which for me was a shock as I've always received 100% of my funds back from 100% of the landlords I've ever had. I do not recommend this company. Everyone needs a place to live, but I recommend a company like GT Properties instead of this company.
I hate this company I been renting my crappy apartment out for 11 months and never made a late payment not once the moment something comes up and it has to be late they are unwilling to work with me. They wouldn’t let me break my lease one month before it was up and I never gave them any troubles. I will never rent through 534 Rent ever again. They are very inconsiderate.
Property Management Services has managed my properties for 8 years. They have steadily improved their procedures and staff over that time. They are very responsive to my needs as an owner and it appears that they must take very good care of the tenants because I have no vacant units! I am happy with their service and professionalism. Chelsea is especially great to work with. Keep up the great work!
I called a couple of months before my lease ended to confirm the date because I was in the process of buying a house. I told them that and they gave me the date. But when I turned in my key, they told me I had to give them 30-days written notice. I informed them that I told them over the phone that I was planning to move, and she said she would ask about it. I didn't hear back from them until yesterday (2-months later) when I got an invoice. They are not only keeping my entire $800 deposit, but they're also charging me all kinds of crazy fees totaling an additional $1,500!!!
I rented a house from them in a great location, but when I moved in, there were a number of problems that surprised me. The hanger bar in the upstairs bedroom had one end in the wall and the other on the floor. There was no bedroom door on that bedroom either. There were several light fixtures either without a bulb at all, or a burned out bulb. I didn't gripe about it at all. I fixed all those things myself and put in LED bulbs. I maintained the property even making minor fixes to things myself until my lease ended and was never late with rent.
Ok for what it is. Certainly not in the modern era. You can tell they have dealt with too many awful renters
