We came in for my daughter, who is dentist shy, to have her two front teeth repaired that she chipped. The assistant said several times "Boy you really messed those up!" Then Dr. Bigler lectured on brushing & flossing skills and her overbite. He insisting she suckers her thumb, which she doesn't, before telling me about her X-ray and teeth, which is why we were there. (My daughter takes good care of her teeth & she has gone to routine checkups.) After all this I was told the appointment was only a consultation & I could not stay with her during the "very long and painful" procedure, contrary to what I was told on the phone. He was only going to do bonding. We since found another dentist, who will do the procedure w me there, and he said it will not be painful/need numbed. He also discovered her overbite is due to a serious swallowing/tongue thrust problem and directed us to a specialist.
Just returned from dental check-ups with our 4 children and wanted to thank Dr. Bigler and his staff for another pleasant and positive experience. Our children have been patients at Crossroads Pediatric Dentistry since our 18 years old started seeing Dr. Bigler. The hygienists have always been friendly and non-threatening, which makes it easy for them to go back for their exams alone. Dr. Bigler has done an amazing job with our oldest, who has some special needs. He has been accommodating for his needs and always patient. Just thankful our children enjoy going to the dentist, one battle we don’t have to fight!
No patience with children! Don't know HOW he can be a pediatric dentist! TERRIBLE for children with special needs! No concept of issues affecting children with special needs EVEN after I had gone out of my way to explain my son's history and issues SEVERAL times! Write it on the chart if you don't care enough to remember- at least you can fake it then!
Absolutely horrible. Wouldn't suggest this dentist to anyone for their children. 1st visit my 4 year old daughter had 4 teeth pulled. She repeatedly asked them to go potty, Dr insisted he was almost done. My 4 yr old urinated all over herself, and laid in it for 45 mins. After procedure was done I went back to get her, she was sedated , so very loopy, when I picked her up urine was all up her back and smelled awful. Dr said oh ya she peed her self about 45 mins ago but I have to finish the procedure. My daughter had a horrible rash and noy once did I get an apology. 2nd visit was only because she had a tooth that was bothering her horribly and I was out of town for business so my husband took her in. Not once did dr bigler communicate what he was doing with her or what his plans were for my daughters tooth. My husband told the nurse he needed to know what was going to be going on with our daughter and the dr and the staffs answer was all the same, he was fixing it. Nurse finally comes out and they had done a root canal. I beg any mother to please not take their children to this psychopath. I will never ever take my children back to this place.
Met once and decided against his office. Had my motherly instinct kick in during a consultation and decided to never go back. After we found a new dentist, we continued to hear bad stories about Dr. Bigler.
