The beauty of St. Francis School is that your children can grow into whoever they are meant to be and the school will work for them!

We chose this school over 10 years ago for our three children and we have not been disappointed. Both Goshen and the downtown campus have proven to be a warm, inclusive, loving community where individuality and diversity are celebrated. The teachers are among the finest human beings on the planet. So along with aspiring to rigorous academic standards our children have the good fortune to spend time with some kind, thoughtful, brilliant people on a daily basis. This school is an asset to our city and our region.
One of the best parts of St. Francis School is that my sons love going to school! In fact, they get really annoyed when they have to miss school, even for vacation! My oldest son actually turned down an opportunity to go skiing in Colorado because he did NOT want to miss school on the day he was presenting a group project!!
Aside from the outstanding academics, I love the rural setting for young children. It allows them to be outside and play in the grass & breath in the fresh air! No concrete or parking lot play grounds here! The large campus has a pond and gardens and yes, even some farm animals. I wasn't sure what to think about this at first but I can tell you my sons absolutely love seeing the animals and have learned so much just by helping to take care of them! What a wonderful unique experience!!
St. Francis School does such a tremendous job in helping students learn at their own pace & in their own way but that doesn't mean there are not high expectations of the students. Recently my 6th grader received a grade slightly lower than expected. I learned in my conference with his teacher that this was because he knew my son was capable of doing better work. He didn't want my son to just get by with doing what others were doing when he knew he was capable of much more. The following semester, his grade was right back where we expected because he was working harder and pushing himself!
If you have a school age child, do them (and yourself) a favor and at least check it out! You won't regret it!
St.Francis has provided me the most outstanding and creative learning experience I have ever had. It has changed my life and I feel as though I have really grown as a student. I came in middle school and all of my classmates, who I now can call my second family, were open and welcoming to me and all of the new students after that. The teachers are always willing to help you and share their knowledge about the subject with you. The class sizes are small and I feel like the teachers care about my education and growth as a person and an intellectual student. It's common misconception that the students are rich and snobby and judgmental. But, this is defiantly not true. Every student works hard and are welcome to anyone with open arms (physically and mentally!!). I love St.Francis and it has given me a new perspective on life and it thought me about being myself and expanding my creativity.
