I will be shopping there less.
1 am. Not pleased. I stopped in after work. Cashier checked my goods. Thought she put all of my paid for belongings in the bag she put up on the exit conveyor (even with her checking all the bag stands within her area and taking my money!!). I took my supposed "bag of goods" only to return home without all of my said purchases. First I called. "...oh yes she's set them aside..." Then I went back to collect the item (cold medicine for my beloved). She was nowhere in sight. Coward! Why do I want to shop here??
Recently Meijer has undergone an updated display shelving which has thinned some of their brands they use to carry. I wish that they could offer those items and products but understand the issue with not being able to move and sale products that end up costing them money to just sit on the shelf until someone makes the purchase.
I shop here every week. I'm disappointed that they took the self check out aisles for when you have a lot of groceries. They never seem to have enough lines open so it's slow checking out. No complaints about the store other than that.
They cleaned up the store and is better. But yesterday at prime shopping 4:30 the self check out was full but only 3 regular check out open, so I had a long wait. This seems to be the norm. Talking to others waiting to check out feels like management isn't paying attention, and I agree
I like the store but doesn't have great security. Went in early one evening to see what appeared to be several gang members quickly walking thru looking for someone, with one guy standing at the front door waiting for a signal...got out in a hurry. They don't appear to have many clerks working on the weekends, but go on a week day and it's better. Prices good, meat tends to cook up tough. Produce has a great selection.
I enjoy shopping at Meijer's since their sections are easy to comprehend and find what you are looking for. When you find the stock is out, you can pick up a red phone that are located in several areas to speak to someone for assistance and if they cannot restock at the moment, you can get a raincheck at customer service. There is someone usually close by to help if you have questions. Their bargain prices are a great incentive to return and combined with their M-Perk digital coupons are money saving perks. The employees are in good spirit and make you feel comfortable. Nice clean wide isles.
