I initially gave these guys 5 stars.....until 40 minutes after purchasing my car. My wife and I drove an hour to The Car Company as they had a vehicle that was reasonably priced with higher miles with all the features we wanted (as I was in the market for a car that would last me 4 years or so until I decided to go new) I looked up the company and they got 2.8 star rating, a lot of times I don't take reviews to heart as a lot are biased. Well this time I should have. Did the test drive, car was clean as advertised with fully loaded features, DVD, CD, nav., etc. We drove around, did the routine check, got the speed up to about 60, everything went well. We couldn't get the DVD screen to come on, and realized you needed a DVD to have the screen come on. We thought we will ask them about that. Get back, we were excited, went back and forth with price (talk them down, whole lot is overpriced, and they will tell you sticker is their bottom) we asked about DVD player, as far as they knew it worked, plus previous owner was a "tech guy." We asked if they had a CD or DVD anywhere so we could test it. (They said they had nothing) everything else worked on the display so we thought we would put a DVD in when we get home. I mentioned a tire monitor sensor was going off and asked if it was a sensor or if there was an issue mechanically. (The general manager basically told me in not so many words, vehicles brought here if the engine runs, and transmission is good, they put it on the lot, and price it to sell) I took that for salesman chatter......boy was I wrong. 30 minutes into our drive home in our new car as we entered highway speeds 70-75, the vehicle began violently swaying left to right. It would come and go, wasn't consistent (luckily for the dealership who just sold it to me). We then get home, grab a DVD and the system would not take a DVD. We messed around with it some more until we finally realized, there is and has been a CD jammed and stuck in dvd slot. And will not come out. So after spending 3 hours and $8000 on my "new to me vehicle" I will spend another 2 days not driving it (traded in my daily driver) and roughly $500 fixing whatever the hell is wrong with it, and another $400 if I want to buy a new factory DVD system if I ever want to use it. Yes the vehicle is older (2007) with higher mileage, and I don't expect everything to work like new, but a vehicle that violently sways left to right with my pregnant wife and daughter in it is unacceptable and dangerous. Safety of the people you sell your cars to should be a priority. There is no way they did not know about the DVD (although that is not major to me), And absolutely NO WAY humanly possible they did not know about the swaying. If you want to gamble and buy here I wish you luck.
I am trying to delete my earlier post and don't know if I succeeded so I am writing a new one. After going to the Warsaw dealership and talking to Derek Sainer , owner/manager, he was very patient and understanding with me about issues and concerns that I had. He helped me understand the things that I didn't. Now i feel 100% better about my buying experience with the car company. I would also like to thank everyone in the service department for their help. In conclusion if I should need another vehicle in the future I would very much consider buying another vehicle from them. Thanks again everyone. Tony Smith.
Bait and switch
So far my family has had GREAT experiences through the Car Company, Goshen. Between myself, my late husband & daughters we are on our 8th purchase with them. Always within or as close to our budget as we ask. Each time we keep our fingers crossed that we don't end up with a lemon..... So far so good. Great people to work with, I have never experienced unprofessional work habits with the sales people. Of course they treat me like family when I walk in. I would buy from them again.
Twice I have traveled over an hour from home to come look at vehicles that I was told were going to be there and have been "sold" while I was waiting. I set up an appointment and I even called on my way and was told they had it. Then to be shown a vehicle that was 10k more. Great customer service!!!
Extremely nice people...they treat you like family and make the buying experience fun with no pressure involved!
