I wasn't quite sure how to feel about this place a year ago, since it was my first bar. But now, after visiting many different breweries and bars, I am willing to concede that this is my favorite.
Best place in town! Great food and brew. This is not normal bar food, it's a classy place with a quality menu. Highly recommended!
Now to the food. Certain food items are available at all times, but food also tends to cycle out so that the chefs can try something new. My favorite is the Mac and Cheese with Smoked Brisket added. It may be a side, but it is the best damn Mac and Cheese I have ever had. Any of the other food options I have tried have far exceeded any expectation.
In summary, I would highly suggest this establishment, even if you have children. The beer prices are reasonable and the food is worth what you pay for it.
The atmosphere is very laid-back. The bartenders know how to talk to the customers and have some friendly banter. An interesting twist is that initial orders are not taken by a server. You need to go up to the large window to order food, and the bar to order beers.
The food is good; howecer, I do not enjoy eating here as I can not participate in group conversations. The dining room really needs sound control to make the dining experience more enjoyable.
Great food, and even better beer. I stop every time I'm passing through Indiana. None of the food has let me down, and the beer is so good, I take the cans to go! The German-style brewery feel is great as well.
The beer is amazing. As a note: If you expect typical beers here, you will be disappointed. There is no Coors Lite, Sam Adams, or Dragon's Milk. All beers are brewed in-house and non-permanent. Try the available ones when you can. But as far as options, there are stouts, IPA's, Sours, and everything in between. And all of them are worth a try.
Great variety of beer. Good food. Nice atmosphere. Wonderful place to hang with friends.
